
Wow! What a great day to mark our 100th day in Kindergarten! I have enjoyed listening to the students count to one hundred. We have filled our day with exciting hands-on learning activities to celebrate our 100th day.
Math Focus:
- Made 100 tally marks to count to one hundred
- Made 100 day hats with ten dimes to count by tens
- Fair trade with money for different ways to make 100
- Place value: hundreds, tens, & ones
- Sorting objects to equal 100
- Special 100 day snack to form the number 100 with pretzels and doughnuts
Language Arts Focus:
- Sang the 100 days of school song
- 100 day writing "If I had 100 dollars..."
- 10X10 chart including sight words, blends, letters, etc.
- 100th day of school book
- Read and recognize 100 sight words
