Dates to Remember

Durham Parent Night has been changed from March 31st to May 10th.

Boosterthon Pep Rally is on Feb. 28th at 1:00

Boosterthon Fun Run Grades 3-5 March 9th 12:35-1:50

Science Fair entries are due by March 8th. Turn them in between 7:15-7:50. Reception is March 11th at 8am.

Science Test

I think I am going to need to make the Electricity Test Open book. This is not to say not to study though, but I will let them use their workbooks/textbooks if they need it. There are still a few things I want to go over and we won't get to it until Monday. I don't want to push the test off though until later in the week. Let's keep it on Tuesday. That will give me time on Monday and Tuesday morning to teach a little bit more. We have done all the experiments.

Once we complete the pages in the science workbook, I will send home their grades. It is hard to show those because if I tear them out then we lose a page of another lesson. I will create a small table for you to see though.

Next Week

We will have our Electricity Test on Tuesday 2/15 - study guide is posted.

Our Valentine Exchange will be on Monday during snack time if your child wants to bring them.

Projects are due Friday before break 2/18. They will be presenting this day as well! I will just do math homework next week and I will try to make it short. I look forward to these projects!

I have been so happy to see their multiplication improving as we continue into area!

No spelling next week.

Progress Reports

Progress Reports will go home on Monday. I need them signed and returned. They include mock CRCT scores. Do not be too alarmed by the math scores. Not everything has been taught yet, and we have lots of reviewing to do. I have started, but plan to do much more.

Review the letter about math and reading compacting. It will begin in March after the writing assessment. If you  have any questions just let me know.

I think I am finally starting to get back into the swing of things!
