This last nine weeks we are studying Constructive & Destructive Forces in Science. The students have been assigned a brief report about landforms. To find out exactly what is expected, simply download the instructions.

We've recently begun a wonderful read aloud called The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick. The story takes place in a Paris train station during the 1920's. It's a fabulous example of children's literature.
The students have been assigned a book report due Monday, March 24th. The directions and rubric are listed below for downloading. (The students have received paper copies of both.) Also, there are great websites for additional resources.

The next two chapters in the math textbook deal with multiplying and dividing fractions. Click on this link below to review and practice how to multiply fractions. This Wednesday is the state-wide writing assessment for all fifth grade students. We have planned, written, peer-edited, and we are READY! Please be sure to arrive at school on time. Eat a good breakfast, and get a good night's sleep. You won't need luck, you're going to do very well!
