Your child WILL have homework this week. Spelling came home Friday and is due this Friday. Language Arts/Reading will come home on Monday and Wednesday, Math, on Tuesday and Thursday.
Yay, testing is over and it was so great to teach a regular day today and spend some time in the beautiful weather. Next week the schedule will change just a bit again because it is Conference Week. Parents, please send in your conference time confirmation. I am still missing a few. If you can not come in at your scheduled time, let me know immediately and I will make every effort to accomodate you.
Dismissal begins at 12:10pm Monday thru Friday during conference week. There will be no after school enrichment programs (Spanish, Acworth Gallery Art or Rocket club) during Conference week. Also, our special and lunch times will change. We will go to specials at 10:45 - 11:10, and lunch will be from 11:24 - 11:54.

Monday - I am a Jean'ius because I am drug free (wear jeans)
Tuesday - Be all you can be, stay drug free (wear army attire/camouflage clothes)
Wednesday -Sock it to drugs - (wear mismatched socks)
Thursday - Put a cap on drugs (wear a cap/hat to school)
Friday - Stay in the game, be drug free (wear a team jersey)
We will have PICTURE RETAKES on October 28th at 8:00 AM. Picture Retakes are for students who are unhappy with their picture and would like a do over. A child who was absent on picture day may also have their picture taken for the year book at this time. A child who was absent on picture day may also order pictures at this time. A child who recently enrolled may have their picture taken and/or order at this time. If you were unhappy with your pictures, they must be returned in order to have a remake.
November 7, 2011 Field Trip to the Pine Mountain Gold Museum in Villa Rica. Parents are also welcome to come along. Only students will ride the buses, so you will have to follow and pay at the field trip site.
November 18th - Market Day; Today I sent home information regarding Market Day which involves our economic unit all third graders learn. Please read over the information carefully with your child. Let me know if you have any questions.
