Can you believe that we are down to the last three days of school? Are you for your little angels to be home for the summer? We still have a few activities planned for the students. Please do not forget that Tuesday and Wednesday are Early Release Days. Students will be dismissed at 1:30.
Monday is Friendship Day. Students will receive their yearbooks and the second grade will go outside and have yearbook and autograph signing from 9:15-10:00. Students may also wear a t-shirt to be signed. However, I must have the green permission slip in order to allow the students to do this. For students that did not purchase yearbooks, I will have memory books for them to have signed by their friends. After lunch we will have our "Sundaes on Monday." Students will receive awards for reading, math, character, and sports. We will do that in the classroom.
Tuesday (early release day) is Lazy Day at the Beach from 12 - 1. We have beach activities for the students to participate in, or they can just lay on their beach towels (no bathing suits), bring a favorite book and read. Please apply sunscreen to arms and legs before coming to school. Specials are at 10:20 - 10:45 today and lunch is 11:06-11:36.
Wednesday (early release day) is Movie Day and the last day of school. No backpacks on this day. Students may bring in a special snack and canned drink/soda for this day. Please note that students cannot bring anything home on this day. Snacks and/or lunches from home should be brought in disposable containers or bags.
Report Cards and other important information will be mailed in the large envelopes that parents put three stamps on.
In order to receive your child's report card your child cannot owe lunch money, ASP money, or have any library books not returned.
I can't tell you what an awesome year this has been for me and my students, your children. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support throughout the year. At this time, I would also like to publicly thank our room mom, Mrs. Stephanie Newton. She has been a huge help to me and I appreciate everything she has done for all of us. :)
