Message from the Frey Foundation President
Q & A
Fun Run Date & Times - Parents welcome!!
Special video message
Dear Parents,
It’s finally here! The children were so excited after yesterday’s Pep Rally to kick off the 2011 Boosterthon Fun Run! I can tell you first hand, that sitting still was not an option! The excitement in the room was unbelievable!
As I’ve mentioned at numerous meetings over the past two years, this is the one that really counts. Your support of this Fun Run is what will solidify Frey’s ability to have a technology teacher next year. With countless budget cuts in our Cobb School district, it is more important than ever for us to find a way to secure a technology class for our school. We all know that technology is no longer an “option”, but a necessity for success in our educational and daily lives. Our goal at the Foundation is to insure that Frey kids don’t miss an opportunity and have everything they need to succeed in the years to come.
We are challenging parents to connect their students to
ten (10) potential sponsors who can pledge a
dollar amount per lap or give a
flat donation. Your child has been encouraged to contact aunts, uncles, grandmas and grandpas, family members and fellow office workers. Students will run between
25-35 laps.
This year, all pledges will be logged in online. (No more pledge books.) As you know, prizes are distributed based on what the Boosterthon team sees online in the morning, so please be sure to get those pledges logged online. You can find their personal access code on the front of their Boosterthon lanyard that came home yesterday. If you do not have online access, please contact me directly and I will work with your child at school to get it logged in. NOTE: We are pleased to announce that this year; everyone will be able to pay for their pledges online! We will begin money collection the day after our run.
We have such a great group of supportive parents here in our Frey family that I am confident that our goal will be met. Should you have ANY questions, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me at jklhale@yahoo.com. Thank you so much for your participation in this exciting event! We look forward to seeing you on the track on March 9th! GO TEAM FREY!
Sincerely,
Jennifer Hale
