*We are in the middle of October and we continue to move along nicely! We are moving into our 2nd Nine Weeks of the year with new skills and standards to work through.
Our Literacy instruction will continue to work on those letters and sounds as well as the mastery of more of our sight words. Our Handwriting skills will improve as we learn the correct way to form the letters of the alphabet. We will continue to work with word families ~ making new words and reading them.
Our Math instruction will find us working with shapes and recognizing them in the world around us. We will continue to build our number sense by writing numerals to label sets and the understanding of ordinal numbers.
*Please remember next week, October 24-28, is Conference Week. School will be dismissed two hours early each day. I am looking forward to our conferences and sharing with you your child's progress!
*Red Ribbon Week will also be the week of October 24-28. Our School Counselors are asking everyone to wear something special each day to help highlight the importance of being healthy and saying no to drugs...
