The Birthday Book Club is a wonderful program here at Frey Elementary's Media Center that allows students to have a library-bound book donated in their honor for his/her birthday. During the first week of school, a purple form was sent home telling about the Book Club and how to join for your child. This is a terrific way for the Media Center to be able to purchase more books per year, and the student is recognized on our daily news show on their birthday. The studnet has a book plate placed in the front of the book purchased for them with their name and they get to be the first person to check out that book. The student also receives a certificate, a birthday pencil, and a bookmark.
If you are interested in the Birthday Book Club and want more information, we will be happy to send a form home with your child. Just let your child's teacher know, and we will get the form to you.
