No Chorus This Week

Please note that there will be NO CHORUS this Wednesday, November 9.  Ms. Hoffman is getting married on Friday and needs some extra time to prepare for the big day!!  Next week, MRS. DAVIS will look forward to seeing you in Chorus and Music Class.  Chorus, enjoy your break this week. 

Chorus shirts are ordered and should be delivered soon for members to wear on rehearsal days and special performances.  I will get those distributed as soon as they arrive to Frey.

Chorus is preparing for the upcoming holiday season.  Please mark Thursday, December 15 on your calendar.  The Frey Flames Honor Chorus has been invited to sing at our Partner-in-Education, Chick Fil-A on Mars Hill Rd./Brookstone between 5-7 pm for a 25 minute holiday performance.   Because of the size of our group, I am planning to split the Chorus into two groups and sing at two assigned times because of space requirements.  Time for your assigned group to be announced soon.

Welcome to Music Class 2011-2012!!

Hello! 

My name is Gina Hoffman.  I will be your Music Teacher this year at Frey.  I am pleased to welcome all of our Frey families to our new school year.  This year promises to be filled with many opportunities for learning and growth.  I want each and every one of you to know that I am very excited to be sharing the gift of Music with you.  In Music Class, we will have much fun while we sing, play, create and move to music.  Everyone is musical!  We are born musical and are surrounded by sounds, rhythms and patterns everyday!!  Together we will explore our musical world and participate in a variety of enriching and engaging activities.  Your child's teacher will share the Special's rotation so that you will know what day your child has Music. Please extend Music into your home by asking your child what he/she did in Music Class and enjoy Music as a family by attending local concerts, festivals and theater productions.

LOVE TO SING?   Join the Frey Flames Honors Chorus!!  Details coming soon to all interested 4th and 5th Graders!  The Frey FLames Chorus meets every Wednesday after school froom 2:15 to 3:15 starting September 14th in the Music Room.
