This week, your child has been introduced to the spelling format for this year. They will meet with their spelling teacher on Monday for word introduction/meaning, Wednesday for word study lesson, and then again on Friday to take a spelling test. All students will have similar homework and will be expected to turn this homework into their homeroom teachers Wednesday morning.
Also, I have downloaded the file for the extra multiplication and division time tests. As your child moves up to each letter, it will get increasingly harder. This means that they may need to practice their facts more.
Please remember that the first GRP book and activities are due next Thursday, September 1st. Students are responsible for completing each book and activities by each check point. If the GRP is not turned in by the check in date (in the front of the GRP packet), they will need to stay in for recess until the assignment is complete and they will also be behind for the next check in date.
