Absences and Tardies: All absences and/or tardies must be accompanied by a parent or doctor's excuse to be counted as excused. Please note that per Cobb County policy, absences and tardies exceeding 5 days, will result in a school attendance note.
Arrival and Dismissal: School Drop off may begin at 7:15 a.m.. Students who arrive earlier must sit in the front lobby until the 7:15 a.m. bell rings. School begins promptly at 7:50 a.m.. Students arriving after that time will be counted as tardy. Dismissal begins at 2:10 beginning with bus dismissal, followed by ASP and Car. Please note that if you should need to pick up your child early, you must sign them out prior to 1:30 P.M. Car riders that are not picked up by 2:30 will be sent to ASP.
Birthdays: We would love to participate in celebrating your child's birthday. If you would like to send in a pre-cut or pre-packaged snack with your child, please feel free. Birthday treats will be passed out during lunch time
Chick-fil-A: As a support for Relay for Life, Frey will sell chicken biscuits each Wednesday morning from 7:15-7:50. Biscuits will be sold in the car line and at the bus port. Students must purchase their biscuits prior to coming to class. Please keep in mind that there are times that we may sell out of chicken biscuits before your child has had an opportunity to purchase one. In the event of this happening, I always suggest putting a pop-tart or granola bar in your child's backpack on mornings that he or she plan to eat a chicken biscuit.
Conferences: Parent teacher conferences will be held in late October this year. School will be dismissed two hours earlier during the conference week period. A couple of weeks prior to conferences, you will receive information regarding a time and a date. During conferences, we will discuss academic progress and your child's current behavior. If at any time you would like to discuss something, please contact me at school, by e-mail. My email address is: Sharon.Fuss@cobbk12.org
Lunch: Our class will eat lunch from 12:04 p.m.-12:34 p.m. each day (11:04 a.m.-11:34 a.m.on Early Release Days). Student lunches have increased to $1.65, and adult and guest lunches are now $2.75. You may pay daily, weekly, or monthly. Mondays are great days to pay for lunches. Please send money in an envelope and label all checks with student name and teacher, or you may pay on-line through the Meal Pay link on my blog. The Cobb County website has a Lunch Menu. Please keep in mind the "extras" that students are allowed to purchase. You can make a note on your child's account to have extras on specific days, one day, any day of the week, or no days.
