Your child needs 5 important events that have happened in their life, with dates, by tomorrow.  For example: The first would be the date of their birth! We are making timelines in class using a computer program we have.  They can have one picture for each event.  The pictures may be taped or glued so make sure you have copies!  Please put their name on the back of the picture.  Thanks so much.

Spelling test is Friday.

Homework packet is due Friday.

There will not be a homework packet for next week due to the short week.  Remember, Monday, February 20 is a holiday.  Happy Valentine's!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Thank you so much for all the candy, cards, flowers, and presents.  You guys were so kind!  I hope each of you have a wonderful Valentine's Day.  Again, thank you for making mine special.

There is no math homework tonight.

Fire Safety Field Trip is tomorrow-a reminder note came home with your child today

We are studying the phases of the moon.  Your child brought home homework tonight that involves them looking at the moon for the next month and recording what they see.  It is due March 15.  Have fun observing the moon!

Don't forget that next Tuesday, Feb. 14 is our field trip to the Fire Safety Village.  I will send home a reminder Monday.

Per the school nurse:  Please remember that you CANNOT send ANY medication to school with your student without an AUTHORIZATION TO GIVE MEDICATION form.  The form can be found on the Cobb County Site - first under general information and then school health.   The site is also linked below.  Basic over the counter meds are ok for the student to bring in as long as the form is filled out completely and sent in with the medication and the medication is brought straight to the clinic.

Six Flags Reading forms came home last week and are due by Feb. 17

Reading log for January is due by Wednesday

Your child will need a ruler with the customary units of measurement for this week's homework and the metric units of measurement for homework coming home in the near future.

Many of the student's blue and yellow, three prong folders are falling apart.  If you want to replace your child's folders please get the plastic, not paper,three pronged folders with pockets.  Your child needs one yellow and one blue folder.  Thanks so much for your help!

We will begin our Fire Safety program tomorrow.  A fireman will be coming to our room to share fire safety with us.  Your child will have fire safety homework.
