It was off to the library this Friday morning for a story and to check out books. Each Friday, we will venture to the library for a story and to return and check out books. Your child will bring them home for reading fun. This is a fabulous opportunity to enjoy a quiet moment reading with your child. You can extend and enhance this time by practicing print concepts such as letter recognition, sound recognition, and sight words. This is also a good time to practice comprehension concepts such as naming the characters, telling the setting and retelling the story. Happy Reading!!! ( Remember to send the books back on Fridays.)
Also, just to let you know more about our days, every other Friday morning you will find all our Frey kindergarten friends in the cafeteria for Sing Along fun! This is another way for us to practice letters, sounds, positional words and counting concepts through music and dance. The smiles, giggles and dancing are truly a sight to see!
