What We are Learning:

Math -  We will  begin working on analyzing and creating graphs.  Our focus will be on bar and line graphs.

English - We will continue our study of pronouns

Spelling - We begin sort 28 on prefixes   Download Sort 28

Reading - We will begin a unit on figurative language and poetry.  We will work to: 

-Identify the speaker of a poem or story.
-Identify sensory details and figurative language.
-Identify rhyme and rhythm, repetition, similes, and sensory images in poems.
-Rellate themes in works of fiction to personal experience.

Science - We continue with stars and space.  This week our focus is on the moon and its phases.  A review sheet will come home this week for a test on the unit on Monday March 5th.
