I am sad to say that Jordynn Sirois has moved. We wish Jordynn luck at her new school. She will be missed!
Report Cards
Report cards were sent home on Friday. Please sign the white signature card and return it to school in the yellow envelope.
Survey
If your child received a survey along with his/her report card, please note the following:
- Complete the survey using a number 2 pencil only. Please no pens!
- Do not write names on the survey or the envelope
- Return the survey in the envelope provided by February 10th
- Do not seal the envelope
- Return the envelope to the teacher or the front office

3rd Nine Weeks
Listed below are just some of the academic areas that your child will be working on over the next 9 weeks:
Reading:
Phonics: Long and short vowels, blends (fr, gr, gl, tr, cr, etc.), digraphs (th, ch, sh, wh), r- controlled vowels, and compound words
Sight Words: Recognizing 150 or more sight words (sight words are listed on the blog)
Reading a text (Level G or higher) independently with expression, comprehension at 95% accuracy
Retelling a story from beginning, middle, and end with details
Identifying the main idea of informational and fictional stories
Writing:
Writing a story independently by:
Generating ideas, developing a rough draft, using books to gather information, editing and revising
Maintaining a focus with supporting details and correct sequencing
Correct punctuation
Neat and legible handwriting
Math:
Place value up to 99 (tens and ones)
Addition and subtraction facts to 18
Fair trade with different coin combinations up to $1.00 and combinations of bills up to $20.00
Time - hour and half hour
Fractions - halves and fourths
Science:
Plants – identifying different parts of plants and their basic needs
Social Studies:
Contributions and character traits of historical figures – Harriet Tubman, Theodore Roosevelt, and George Washington Carver
Identifying and locating all continents and oceans
